While machined parts for the high tech sector may not require some of the same material certifications and traceability that the aerospace and medical industries need, there are certainly unique challenges that need to be handled with skill. As we have all seen in the past years, the industry can be boom or bust. The variable nature of market demand for our customers products make it critical to utilize lean concepts for customers in this industry. By using lean one-piece-flow techniques we always have finished parts coming off the machines. We can be much more responsive to partial deliveries and reschedule requests than suppliers that batch process their parts. By offering both quick turn prototyping and the flexibility of lean manufacturing for production, we can help our customers get their products to market faster than their competition, which may make the difference in whether they are the market leader or not. This short list of industries and types of machined parts give some idea of the diversity of our experience with this broad range of industries:
- Satellite components
- Fiber optic networking components
- Silicon wafer processing equipment
- Handheld electronics and meters
- Communications equipment for commercial and military use
- Computer hardware
- High speed digital printing equipment
